About Larry

Larry Curasi is the founder and Broker/Owner of Curasi Realty, Inc., an independent real estate brokerage headquartered in Montgomery, New York.

A lifelong Orange County resident, Larry graduated from Valley Central High School in 1989 and began his professional career in the beverage distribution industry. He worked for Suffern Beer Distributors before spending nine years with Coors/Canada Dry. During that time, Larry developed an early interest in leadership and became a Shop Steward for Local 812.

In April 1997, Larry obtained his real estate license, initially driven by his interest in real estate investing. He began purchasing multi family properties and later expanded into renovating and reselling single family homes. What started as an investment venture quickly developed into a passion for the real estate profession and for helping buyers and sellers achieve their own real estate goals.

Larry's success came quickly. During his first year as a real estate professional, he earned the Orange County Association of Realtors Excellence in Sales Bronze Award.

With an entrepreneurial vision and a desire to build a different kind of real estate company, Larry founded Curasi Realty, Inc. in October 1999. The company began in the basement of his home before moving into its first office in the Village of Montgomery. Within the first few years, the brokerage had grown to a team of eight agents.

In 2002, Larry affiliated the company with the ERA franchise, operating as ERA Curasi Realty, Inc. Continued growth led to several expansions and ultimately the construction of the company's permanent headquarters at 1060 State Route 17K in Montgomery, which was completed in July 2006.

In December 2016, Larry and his wife and business partner, Nancy Curasi, made the decision to return the company to its independent roots and once again operate under the Curasi Realty, Inc. name.

Today, Curasi Realty has grown to more than 100 licensed real estate professionals, while maintaining the team oriented culture and independent spirit upon which Larry built the company.

Throughout his career, Larry has received numerous industry awards and recognitions, including multiple Orange County Association of Realtors Excellence in Sales Awards, ERA Beyond Excellence recognition, and national franchise company honors. He has also dedicated significant time to serving the real estate industry through leadership positions with the Hudson Gateway association of Realtors and The OneKey Multiple Listing Service.

After nearly three decades in real estate, Larry remains actively involved in the day to day operation of Curasi Realty. His focus continues to be growing the company, developing real estate professionals, serving clients throughout the Hudson Valley, and maintaining the personal, independent approach that has been part of Curasi Realty since its beginning.

For Larry, real estate has never been simply about selling property. It has been about building relationships, creating opportunities, and building a company where agents and clients alike can succeed.
